Rick Johnson has an amazing grasp of the obvious: Telecommuting saves lives! A few months ago, Rick stepped outside the box -- and showed us just how boxed-in our thinking is about remote teleworking. Telecommuters are rarely hurt or killed on the way to and from work. Commuters, on the other hand, have a much higher risk of getting maimed and killed in traffic accidents while traveling to and from work. Therefore, Rick has founded the Telecommuting Safety & Health Institute. He is asking for people to share incidents in their lives where they, or someone they know, have been injured, crippled or killed as a result of traveling to or from jobs when they could -- and should -- have been telecommuting.
